The hubs and I recently purchased two Grono lamps from IKEA, and I love their shape, but they were sooooo white! The light was a bit harsh for our warmly-lit living room, so I covered them in music sheets.



I had to test a couple different books of sheet music, since some were just white and didn’t improve the warmth factor very much.

When I found the right sheets, I put double-sided tape all over the lamp, along the bottom/middle/top of each side. Then I put a piece of paper on the front of the lamp, and smoothed it around the corners tightly to the sides of the lamp. One sheet doesn’t cover the whole lamp, so I repeated the steps above with another sheet on the backside. The two sheets overlap on the sides, so I trimmed them and then put a single-stick tape piece along the entire seam, on both sides.
